DJI today introduces the DJI Mini 3, a compact, ultra-lightweight camera drone ready for any adventure.
DJI Mini 3 is easy to take anywhere, and with its weight of less than 249 grams, it allows it to take full advantage of the new European regulation drafted on guidance provided by EASA’s technical committee, also in effect in Italy as of Dec. 31, 2020.
The 1/1.3-inch camera sensor can record 4K HDR video and 12 MP photos, along with a vertical shooting function to ensure incredibly sharp content on social media. With these and other features, the DJI Mini 3 allows you to capture every moment effectively and stylishly.

Lightweight and portable for instant takeoff
The latest in the DJI Mini series, the Mini 3 is specifically designed to weigh less than 249 grams. Its compact design also makes it easy to store in your bag or backpack, ready to take off on any adventure. The new product also meets drone regulations in many parts of the world, where drones weighing less than 250 g can be flown without any “certificate,” in full compliance with local regulations.
Ultra-vivid vertical details
DJI Mini 3 shoots fantastic 4K HDR videos with realistic colors both day and night. Its 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor and f/1.7 aperture optics enable very sharp high-resolution images, excellent depth of field and very low image noise, even in low light and high contrast conditions. 4-in-1 pixel technology can create photo sizes from 48 MP to 12 MP and individual pixels as large as 2.4 μm for excellent low-light performance. Native dual ISO sensitivity and HDR technology help create incredibly sharp images in a short time, achieving excellent results even in images with high dynamic range, such as large shadows. This excellent image quality translates into even more incredible results with the Vertical Shooting feature, which allows you to rotate the camera 90 degrees to create content perfect for social platforms.
Fly longer, smoother, farther
The Mini 3’s standard Smart Flight Battery has a maximum flight time of up to 38 minutes. DJI O2 digital video transmission enables a 720p/30fps live feed up to 10km away, using powerful anti-interference technology for reliable connection during flight. With wind resistance up to 10.7 m/s, the Mini 3 can station in flight and maintain stable footage in a variety of conditions.
One-touch cinematic shots
DJI Mini 3 makes content creation a breeze with QuickShots, a suite of pre-programmed flight paths and footage to enable anyone to take stunning horizontal and vertical shots. Among them:
- Dronie: the drone flies backward and upward, with the camera locked on the subject.
- Spiral: the drone ascends and spirals around the subject.
- Ascent: the drone flies upward with the camera facing downward.
- Circle: the drone circles around the subject.
- Boomerang: the drone moves around the subject following an oval path, ascending as it moves away from the initial position and descending as it moves back.
Expert without the slightest effort
Flying is easier than you think, and DJI Mini 3 supports a number of smart features to help you become familiar with the controls in an instant. The Auto Takeoff feature will help you kick off your journey. The Return to Home (RTH) feature includes Smart RTH, Low Battery RTH and Failsafe RTH, which allow the aircraft to automatically return to the starting point in emergency situations such as loss of signal or low battery. The Mini 3 combines GNSS with downward vision and infrared detection system to station stably and accurately, so you can fly with maximum safety.
