DJI Osmo Mobile 7 and 7P Review

DJI has recently expanded its lineup of smartphone stabilizers with the introduction of the Osmo Mobile 7 and the Osmo Mobile 7P, both designed to enhance mobile videography with advanced features and user-friendly designs.

Osmo Mobile 7P

The Osmo Mobile 7P stands out as a premium stabilizer, offering a three-axis gimbal system that ensures smooth and stable footage.

A notable addition is the Multifunctional Module, which attaches magnetically to the stabilizer.

This module incorporates a computer vision camera capable of tracking subjects, adjusting framing, and initiating or stopping recording through hand gestures.

It also features a built-in fill light with adjustable brightness and color temperature, enhancing shooting conditions in various environments.

Moreover, the module serves as a receiver for DJI’s wireless microphones, such as the DJI Mic Mini, facilitating high-quality audio recording.

The Osmo Mobile 7P is lightweight, approximately 300 grams, and includes a built-in tripod and an eight-inch telescoping arm for versatile shooting angles.

The device offers up to 10 hours of battery life; however, using the Multifunctional Module may reduce this duration to around 4-5 hours due to increased power consumption.

The Osmo Mobile 7 serves as a more budget-friendly option, retaining essential features for quality stabilization.

It offers the same three-axis gimbal system and includes a built-in tripod for convenience. Unlike the 7P, it does not come with the telescoping arm, Multifunctional Module, or side control dial.

Despite these differences, it maintains a compact and lightweight design, making it suitable for users seeking basic stabilization needs.

Both models are compatible with the DJI Mimo app, which offers features like ActiveTrack 7.0 for precise subject tracking and various intelligent shooting modes to enhance the user experience.

The choice between the Osmo Mobile 7 and 7P depends on individual needs and budget, with the 7P providing advanced functionalities suitable for professional content creators, while the 7 offers essential features for everyday use.
