New agricultural drones and a disaster relief program highlight the transformative role of DJI drones in our skies every day
DJI AirWorks is the headquarters for the exchange of ideas, knowledge of the latest developments in drones technology and the direction of the future development of the industry. This event attracts participants from a diverse range of backgrounds that use drones every day in agriculture, construction, energy, infrastructure and public safety for three days of presentations, hands-on workshops, training sessions and networking opportunities. In addition to industry-specific sessions, participants will listen to leading drone-industry leaders during lively discussions on current and future industry trends and drone-related regulations.
In the opening keynote of DJI Airworks, executives announced important new updates to improve the daily application of drone technology, including:
- Drone DJI P4 Multispectral: the world’s first fully integrated multispectral imaging drone, built to power the next generation of agriculture and enable more efficient environmental land management.
- Drone DJI Agras T16: the global introduction of DJI’s leading spraying drone for agriculture that simplifies the precise application of liquids such as fertilizers and pesticides to crops and orchards.
- DJI Disaster Relief Program: a new initiative to quickly equip first responders with the technology and support of DJI drones during natural disaster response and recovery missions for fires, hurricanes, floods, tornadoes and earthquakes.
New tools to stimulate the development of drones
In addition to supporting professional drones users, DJI also offers new tools to those who develop new technologies for drones with the introduction of DJI X-Port. A new gimbal mount for DJI Matrice 200 V2 series drones, X-Port allows drone-hardware developers to quickly integrate their custom sensors such as multispectral cameras and LiDAR sensors. X-Port features integrated communication APIs, SkyPort DJI integration and a gimbal debugging interface to enable developers to bring their sensor innovations to market faster, reducing development time by up to 40%.
