Osmo FrameTap for Better Composition
The removable Osmo FrameTap remote mirrors the view from your phone or Multifunctional Module 2, allowing you to frame rear-camera selfies or direct shots from a distance. It can be attached to the handle or used separately for more flexible control.
Improved Tracking
ActiveTrack 8.0 helps keep subjects in frame, even in complex environments. With the optional DJI OM Multifunctional Module 2, tracking can extend to people, cats, dogs, vehicles, and selected objects under supported conditions.
Native Smartphone Connection

Can I use Osmo Mobile 8P with the DJI OM Series 7 Magnetic Phone Clip and DJI OM Multifunctional Tracking Module?
- It can be used with the DJI OM Series 7 Magnetic Phone Clip.
- It can be used with the DJI OM Multifunctional Tracking Module, but the view cannot be projected to the Osmo FrameTap remote. Only the DJI OM Multifunctional Tracking Module 2 can project to the Osmo FrameTap remote viewfinder.
Compared with Osmo Mobile 8, what improvements does Osmo Mobile 8P offer?
- Osmo FrameTap can adjust gimbal parameters and modes.
- Osmo FrameTap can control the multifunctional tracking module. Swipe right on the remote to view the module’s image transmission screen and enable intelligent tracking by pressing the joystick or selecting the subject in the frame.
- Within 10 meters of the gimbal, Osmo FrameTap can control photo capture, video recording, horizontal and vertical orientation switching, and framing adjustment.
- Phone screen mirroring is supported: Android and HarmonyOS phone screens can be projected directly to the remote screen, while iPhone users can use the DJI Mimo app to project the phone screen to the remote. Check DJI’s official smartphone compatibility list for details.
- The Multifunctional Tracking Module 2 adds detection for vehicles and selected objects. The DJI OM Multifunctional Module 2 is not included in the Standard Combo and is sold separately.
- For object tracking with the Multifunctional Tracking Module 2, excluding people, animals, and vehicles, the object must be selected manually. Effective tracking distance depends on object size, and the subject must have a clear outline, strong contrast from the background, and occupy more than 10% of the frame.
- The fifth-generation magnetic phone clip is compatible with a wider range of phones, is smaller and lighter, attaches more securely, has optimized soft rubber thickness, and blocks less of the phone screen.
- The optimized integrated tripod has three independently deployable legs for improved stability on flat surfaces.
